Who we are

Simpson Special Education and Disability Rights Consulting Services was founded on a commitment to informed, ethical, and strategic advocacy for individuals and families navigating complex educational and disability systems.

My professional path into advocacy was shaped by direct exposure to the realities of Special Education processes, including IEP development, evaluation procedures, compliance concerns, and systemic barriers that significantly impact student outcomes. As a mother of eight children — including two diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder — I understand the importance of structured support, informed decision-making, and strong representation within educational systems. That perspective, combined with formal education and extensive professional training, forms the foundation of this practice.

With over 20 years of experience, I bring a comprehensive, disciplined, and strategic approach to every case.

I attended and graduated from Rio Grande and the University of Cincinnati, establishing a strong academic foundation that supports my work in education systems, mental health, disability advocacy, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, I hold a current nursing license and a current teaching license in the State of Ohio, further strengthening my ability to understand both the educational and clinical aspects of student needs.

I have completed more than 40 specialized trainings and certifications in Civil and Human Rights, Disability Rights, protections for Individuals with Disabilities, legal compliance, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and accessibility standards. My professional training includes focused study in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Accessibility Training for public and private institutions. I remain committed to ongoing education to ensure alignment with statutory requirements, procedural safeguards, and national best practices.

My credentials include international board recognition in Autism and Human Rights, certifications in Victims’ Rights and protections of children through state and federal training programs, and formal recognition from The National Society of Leadership and Success for leadership and academic achievement. I am also a member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA), reflecting my dedication to national standards in special education advocacy and disability law compliance.

Over the years, I have established professional relationships with highly respected Special Education and Civil Rights attorneys and collaborate with them when necessary to ensure families receive comprehensive and coordinated support. While I do not provide legal representation, I work strategically alongside legal professionals when cases require that level of intervention.

My professional background includes education and training in nursing, mental health, autism spectrum disorders, disability rights, and human rights advocacy. I have conducted classroom and behavioral observations, reviewed extensive educational records, analyzed procedural and compliance concerns, and supported families in structured advocacy planning and dispute preparation.

We are an inclusive agency committed to serving individuals and families of all backgrounds and abilities. We operate under the principle that disability rights are human rights and that equitable access to education, services, and legal protections is fundamental.

My advocacy approach is strategic, informed, and decisive. I advocate boldly and firmly when necessary, while remaining professional, solution-focused, and grounded in statutory authority. I do not pursue conflict unnecessarily; however, I act with clarity and resolve when rights must be protected and safeguards must be enforced.

Most importantly, I advocate for you and your family with the same level of preparation, protection, and determination that I would expect for my own. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your child, your future deserves nothing less than strong, compassionate advocacy.

Simpson Special Education and Disability Rights Consulting Services provides advocacy and consulting grounded in education, regulatory knowledge, structured analysis, and unwavering ethical commitment.

Families deserve knowledgeable guidance. Institutions benefit from informed collaboration. Individuals deserve dignity, protection, and lawful access to opportunity.
